Hi friends! If you ever visit Boston (or if you live in Boston and haven’t been…), you MUST go to one of my favorite cafes…Flour! There are conveniently quite a few locations – my favorite is in Kendall near MIT (on Mass Ave.), but I have also been to the one in Back Bay (feels larger and is right by the Back Bay T stop!) and the one in Harvard (tucked away on a side street, limited seating since a lot of students like to do work here).
The photos below are from a recent trip to the Harvard location. I got their roasted lamb sandwich with tomato chutney and goat cheese and it was phenomenal. Joanne Chang of Flour actually describes the sandwich here, and it can also be found in her cookbook, flour, too!
I am also a huge sucker for their raspberry seltzer which I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for something sweet yet refreshing.
Finally, something I gravitate towards every time and that I highly recommend is Flour’s toast platter, which basically is a variety of their home-made bread, toasted with a side of whipped butter and jam. So simple, yet so, sooooo good. Their bread is honestly to die for. Also, you get a lot of bread for what you pay, which is always a good thing in my book 🙂
Definitely drop by if you have a chance 🙂 (now that it feels like spring, maybe this is the perfect opportunity for me to wander over there yet again…)
Happy weekend everyone! ❤
PS I’m planning to feature more cafes around Boston in my blog since there is such a lively coffeeshop/cafe scene in this city, and I love a great pop-in eatery! In case you missed my post about Kickstand Cafe in Arlington, you can see it here. Do you have any favorite cafes in your city or even in Boston? If so, I would love to hear more 🙂
